Frequently Asked Questions
-
What do I need to prepare for our first meeting?
Before our meeting, it helps to think about your goals—what’s stressing you most and what you’d love to feel when the project is done. For your first session, you don’t need to clean up! I prefer to see the true function of the space to decide what functional systems need to be implemented to meet you and your family’s needs.
-
Will you make me get rid of all my things?
No. Our role is to guide, not pressure. You stay in control of what stays or goes. We help you think through what’s truly supporting your life right now—but the final decisions are always yours.
-
Will I need to be there?
You will need to be present and participate in the decluttering process. You, the client are responsible for determining what items to keep and what to let go of- if you left it up to me, I might toss things you love!
-
I feel overwhelmed by my clutter and don’t know where to start. Can you help?
Yes! Many of our clients feel the same way. Our team breaks projects down into manageable steps and works alongside you to create a peaceful, functional space—one session at a time.
-
I struggle with guilt or emotional attachment when trying to let go of things. How do you help with that?
You’re not alone—this is one of the most common reasons people call us. We offer non-judgmental support and help you make thoughtful decisions based on your current needs and lifestyle. We guide the process, but you’re always in control.
-
We’re downsizing—how do we decide what to keep, donate, or let go of?
Downsizing can feel overwhelming. Our team helps you evaluate what fits your new space and lifestyle, and we provide local donation and resource options to ensure your items find a good home.
-
I’m too busy and just don’t have the time or energy to get organized. Can you still help?
Absolutely. Lack of time and energy is one of the biggest reasons clients call us. We keep the process moving, create systems that work for your household or office, and help you maintain them—so you can focus on everything else.
-
I don’t know where to take the things I declutter. Can you help with that?
Yes! We provide local donation, recycling, and disposal resources—whether it’s household items, clothing, books, or even pet supplies. We can also help arrange hauling or drop-offs when needed.
-
We inherited a house full of belongings and don’t know where to start.
That’s a big job, and we help families through this all the time. Our team creates a plan to sort, organize, and guide you through what to keep, sell, or donate—so it feels less overwhelming and more manageable.
